Fences at Maarsbergen Castle

In 2019 we expanded the course of Maarsbergen Horse Trials and since then the course has been running around Maarsbergen Castle. Maarsbergen Castle is actually Maarsbergen House. A two-aisled house on a rectangular base, weighted with two diagonally opposite corner towers; with an arkel tower on the corners of the front aisle. The front aisle dates from the mid-15th or 16th century (dean house), the rear aisle from the mid-19th century, the corner towers from 1930. The oldest part of the current house is probably part of a reconstruction from 1430. The castle existed in any case in 1613 from a moated rectangular hall building with a round tower on the north-west and south-east corners.

Because the course runs along Maarsbergen Castle, we can do even more justice to this unique location. The beautiful surroundings and buildings of Landgoed Maarsbergen are used optimally during Maarsbergen Horse Trials. And that creates some beautiful pictures!
